Biblical Wellness
with Your Pastor
Sharing your vision for beginning a Biblical Wellness Ministry in your church is an important step toward bringing your idea to life and gaining support from church leadership. Here are some steps to help you effectively communicate your vision to your church leadership:
1. Pray and Prepare
- Pray: Pray for wisdom, clarity, and the right words to share your story. Ask God to prepare your heart and the pastor’s heart for the upcoming conversation.
- Develop a Proposal: Create a clear, concise proposal outlining your vision for your Biblical Wellness Ministry. Include the purpose, goals, and benefits of what this ministry can bring to the church. Prepare examples of what you have to offer- cooking classes, exercise classes, bible studies, etc.

2. Schedule a Meeting
- Request Time: Ask your pastor for a meeting to discuss your ministry idea. Be respectful of their time and suggest a time that is convenient for them.
- Prepare Your Materials: Bring your proposal, supporting materials such as the Treasures of Healthy Living Bible Study Book, The Nutrition Manual and a positive attitude to the meeting.

3. Present Your Vision
Share the Why: Explain the need for a Biblical Wellness ministry in the church. Have current health statics ready to share.
Share why this is your Passion: Communicate why this ministry is important to you and how you feel called to serve in this area.
Outline Benefits: Discuss the potential benefits for the congregation, such as improved health, stronger community, and deeper spiritual connections.
Address Concerns: Be prepared to answer questions and address any concerns the pastor might have.
Flexibility: Be open to feedback and willing to adjust your vision based on the pastor’s input.
4. Pray and Trust
- Depend on God: Trust that God will guide the process
and provide what is needed for the ministry to succeed. - Be Patient: Change and new initiatives in a church can
take time. Be patient and persistent in pursuing your vision.
If your pastor or church leadership would like more information, please
feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy to set up a meeting to answer any further questions that may arise through this process.
